Hey everybody and welcome to One
Spartan’s Pride. I thought I’d open with a little about myself, just one
Spartan loving life on-campus. I grew up in Batavia ,
IL , a suburb an hour west of Chicago .
Because of my love for sports and the Midwest I always
knew I wanted to attend a Big Ten University. When I visited Michigan
State something with the campus
just clicked and I knew I wanted to be a Spartan.
Fast forward to today. I am a
junior Resident Mentor living in Wilson Hall. I love this job because I love meeting
all the great people that are my fellow students and being a part of on-campus
events. These are the events I look forward to sharing with you in this blog.
I am a Computer Science major with
a specialization in video game design. I love playing all kinds of video games
from Smash Brothers to Team Fortress 2. It is my dream to one day create my own
video games. I consider myself a bit of a movie buff, I love to go to midnight premiers for the latest movies or grab
some friends to see the weekend’s free RHA movies showing. As for music I love
a little bit of everything (minus country, nobody really likes country). One of
my greatest memories I will ever have is when I saw Eminem at “The Home &
Home Tour” in Detroit .
I also love sports. I love watching
our football team chase another Big Ten title, and our basketball team make yet
another improbable tournament run. Professionally I will go to the grave rooting for my Bears, Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks. Of course I also love playing sports. I play
rugby for the Michigan State Rugby Football Club. I also love to play IM sports
soccer and basketball.
I know this is a lot but that is
because there is so much to do. That is probably my favorite part about living
on-campus. On any given day I can find plenty of people to go play pick-up
basketball, or form a study group, or even just relax and play some video games
together. It really is the day to day events of living on campus that truly
make me proud to be a Spartan!
So I look forward to sharing with
you my experiences from campus. Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments below!
